NEW ALBUM ON ALL STREAMING PLATFORMS FROM NOVEMBER 3rd 2023
NEW ALBUM RELEASED ON ALL STREAMING PLATFORMS ON NOVEMBER 3rd 2023.
This is our second album, “D´er uvist å vite kvar uvener sit”.
The album has been 4 years in the making since our debute «Descensus ad inferos - Shades of Sheol» -which was releaseded in 2019. In that incubation period the world has become even more crazy and hellish - something we have tried to reflect on this production.
In that way the album is a continuation of its predecessor, and explores the same dark gloomy vein both lyrically and musically.
The lyrics are a journey into the darker sides of the human mind. The main difference is that we are doing it in Norwegian this time.
We have chosen a few, handpicked verses from the ancient norse poem, Håvamål (Word of Håvi), which are attributed to the norse god Odin, and presents advice for living, proper conduct and wisdom.
Musically it is hard to point to a spesific genre of the many, many subgenres in metal, but it's eclectic, dark and gloomy.
The crew and production is mostly the same as on the debut;
But this one is Recorded at Keeg Studios, Østerås, Norway.
The 4 tracks are patiently recorded, cut, pasted, reshaped by the band on dugnad.
Mixed by Håvard “Good Deal” Træthaug @ Platefabrikken.no

The first Album from G.R.I.M: «Descensus ad Inferos - Shades of Sheol» was released November 1st 2019
The album is a philosophical exercise…
A thought…
A feeling…
It grows steadily throughout the 40 minutes of lyrics full of despair over a tapestry of dark and heavy guitar riffs and blasting drums.
The album conjures a sensation of gloom and prophecies of doom… to the point where we all know this is going to hell in a handbasket - maybe not at terminal velocity - but it will take you there at a slow and steady pace.

The Legend of the Conception of G.R.I.M
G.R.I.M. is what happens when to souls share the same thougt, at the same time, without knowing that the other person has had that thougt it, and then suddenly mentions it for each other.
G.R.I.M is a creative outlet for all the dark and gloomy stuff that was hidden in the drawer, labled «doesn't fit in», as in «doesn't fit the profile of our current bands».
Gimse once told Dan Are at a party: «I have some really dark lyrics». It only took a couple of months before his e-mail was filled with heavy, gloomy and melancholical riffs.
So Gimse and Dan Are summoned their bandmates in the eclectic musical konglomerate, Neverton United, and suddenly, the doom and gloom of G.R.I.M. was ready for the public.
